Why would i trade 2 mini's for 1? Even if it is really cool, that doesn't make any sense.

I hope you can either get them for piggies OR victory tokens.......please?

Thing is, is that why did A-Net expect people to keep 10+ mini pigs for 1 year? I mean that's not even practical, we don't have storage space for that.. eh, oh well.

lol, all the time I see people complaining that anet gave out too many mini pigs, that they really screwed up and that they should fix it somehow. So, they fix it, and a whole bunch of people (probably lots of the same ones) begin QQing about that too. By making it so that you need multiple pigs to get the mini instead of 1:1 it makes it so that the replacement isn't instantly as worthless as the pigs were just yesterday, so suck it up and find something better to do than cry about guildwars all the time.

Can you even read? During the festival you can get the old lion mask. I am assuming the same way we were able to get the '07 Wintersday hats after the finale. Also Anet is giving out an entirely new item at the finale on Sunday.

I think the only reason they would set it up so that more then 1 mini pig is needed is to get rid of mini pigs AND to keep a lower amount of this new item then the o so numerous mini pig...although it annoys me that I need more pigs to get this new thing...if its a mini, might be wroth it....still going "WTB mini pigs for 5k!" whever I can to get more...not gonna spend money on what will most likely be as low as the mini pig, b4 this fiasco i mean.

The only thing anal about this is that storage space is tight as it is, and they expect us to hoard "more than two, fewer than a dozen" minipets for a YEAR without alluding to a future event where they could be used.

I did not complain about the commoness of the minipig, in fact, I loved it, because it made it so EVERYONE was a part of it. Anet seems to keep doing anal things recently. The only hope I have is that anet takes all the ***ching like they did from everything else they've bs'd (BMP after offer, minipolar bear) and change their stance like w/ the bmp.

It sucks to be the one who's not rich doesn't it. SO you did a nice thing, that should be good enough for you. Its not the end of the world. I think they did a great job forces rich snobs to give away 100k without knowing it.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone to have more than one Miniature Pig, or even believe that such an absurd method for gaining a mini (rat) could be thought up. The only reason ArenaNet has done this is to make people pay for a now grossly inflated item, and to get everyone at each others throats. This was a very silly move to make, and I hope ArenaNet rectifies this gross error in judgement before Friday.

This makes no sense to me, especially since minipets aren't dedicated account-wide, but to a single character. Most people do have more than one character and still not enough storage space. Where they would place so many mini's is anyone's guess. I have 10 characters and if it's even on the low end of trading 5 mini pigs for some other mini, that is still 50 mini pigs that I could concieveably take off the market in one go. But let's say that it's higher and trade 10 pigs per one new mini. That's 100 mini pigs off the market just from me. >.<

I still think that crafting mini pets like the mini black moa is the best way to go for the community. I thought that mini pets weren't supposed to be for monetary value but more for personal enjoyment, at least that's something what I've heard stated by Anet before. But now they just make people crazy and spend large amounts of gold, making things unattainable for the 'common player' as they've stated before.

Just some thoughts, trying to make sense out of nonsense, I guess.

i normally dont mind wat anet does but really they have been making some poor decisions lately
first: wintersday and the mini polar bear, like sure dont make it common as, but 9 or 10 TOTAL in existance... now that is just stupid like yea mabe as rare as say mallex or something but yea that was reallllllly poor

inflate the price of pigs cos there is alot of them and call it 'luck' from last year, now a mini may not be required in game
but it is a public event and ppl shouldnt b able to make a killing exploiting the fact that others werent there last year ( i was one of them) or only started playing recently, further least make the trade 1:1 so that its fair for all, this 2-12 business is seriously stuffed up, this is just more 'encouragement' from anet to 'boost' the economy

making things rare is all good, there has to b a badge of merit for those who grink or have skill however this is another poor decision by anet
so yea hope they rethink this idea of trading pigs in,
next thing u know u can trade in first year unopened pressies for a 'special reward' or some rubbish like that

It's all just a moot point, people who were there last year.. why does it matter, people can buy mini pigs, being there for last year's event is a moot point with that said.

And yes Elevandar, I'm sure another stupid decision is coming up with the Mini-Polar bear too.

In fact, why can't I go ahead and trade in all the freaking +5 Temple Guardians I got for a new better mini? It's not my fault the ''Random'' generator system wasn't ''Lucky'' enough for me 15+ times (First and Second year, all whites and some purples). Just an example, for the point being.

I know it's kind of ranting, which is pointless of me, but It was just a thought. I don't really expect them to let me trade those in for a new mini, but just saying for the record.
